The focus of Inspire Africa Foundation is on inspiring the African child, with our flagship project starting in Lagos.
“The Designer’s Outlet 4 Charity” is partnering with the best names in Nigerian/African fashion, such as Amede, Deola Sagoe, Fred Eboka, Frank Osodi(House of Bunor), Ituen Basi, Lanre Da Silva, Nikki Khiran, Odio Mimonet, Taé, as well as the renowned international fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg.
The Outlet will provide; for the very first time, a ‘one stop shop’, where a variety of the beautiful designs by these designers can be found under one roof. ‘The Designer’s Outlet 4 Charity” will enable discerning fashionistas ‘shop with a conscience’, because between 15%-40% on all sales at the outlet goes to the Inspire Africa Foundation, to benefit street children.
The Inspire Africa Foundation has in the recent past, partnered with the Lagos State Government, as well as UNICEF on providing succour for street children in our midst, through the Inspire Africa Benefit Concert.
‘The unveiling of the building plans for ‘The Harbour’ , a place of shelter, refuge and learning for our street children, which is a direct result of this partnership will also take place at the opening of the outlet.
In addition to this, more charities with similar passion, vision and commitment are coming on board to help us provide a better life for these disadvantaged children. These NGOs include; CHILD LIFE LINE, COMMUNITY CHILD EDUCATION& DEVELOPMENT, SEARCH AND GROOM as well as CHILD TO CHILD NETWORK.
In continual support of this ongoing initiative, United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) products will be on display for sale, as well as African art, fabric and household accessories from renowned artist, Chief (Mrs) Nike Okundaye( Nike Art Gallery). Also available at the outlet is free CDs of the Inspire Africa Theme song “Save a Child” as performed by the best of Nigerian Artists such as 2Face, Timaya, Omawumi, M.I, Banky W, Timi Dakolo, Cobhams, Tosin Martins, Sasha.
This outlet will be our flagship project starting in Lagos, with many more planned, that allows us a certain amount of sustainability and independence for the upkeep of ‘The Harbour’. Please support this initiative and help create a better life for the African Child.
